What's the worse that could happen?!
Question: I am goin to have surgery next week to get my gallbladder taken out. This weekend there's a party I am goin to! Doc put me on a diet and the paper said no alcohol. If I do decide to drink, what can possibly happen with my gallbladder? I know there will be pain but is that the only thing that will happen? or Should I smoke rather than drink?

The worse thing that could happen is maybe a real bad infection. The pain will increase and you will end up in the hospital. But just do what the Doc says and get it over with. Why put yourself through more pain than what it already is.
I think the alcohol may have something to do with the anesthesia they use, better be careful.
I wouldn't risk anything. There are reasons for the doctors pre-surgery instructions.
i think you should ask your doctor this
it could make you really sick and maybe lots of pain
do not ever attempt to ignore the doctors wishes. gall bladder operation could be fatal if too much alcohol enter your blood stream at the time of operation. as they take time to digest. its an easy operation and you could spare your wine for later. by the way, don,t forget to put your kidney stones up for auction. they are always worth a fortune.
