What are these hives/rashes on my torso?!

Question: Hi, I'm a 20 year old female. About 7-10 days ago (I lost count) I noticed that my stomach was really itchy, when I lifted my shirt I noticed that I had some weird rash/hives all over. They were a few shades darker than my skin tone and were very itchy. The next day or two they got smaller and more pimply, but spread to my upper chest. Now, about a week later, they are all over my torso, more on the front than the back, but still present on my back. I've been applying hydrocortizone cream, but not regularly. I took Benedryl two nights in a row, about 3 nights ago, but stopped because I didn't want to over do it. It's not constantly itchy, just suddenly throughout the day. Today it's not so much pimply as just a regular looking rash. They aren't getting worse, but they aren't getting better either. At first I thought it was from stress, but now that my life has calmed, they are still here. Has this happened to anyone else? What seemed to help you lose the itch?

these are some sort of allergy- food first, maybe detergents used to wash your clothes or dryclean them, maybe the fabric. then it could be a lotion or skin cream.

go to a skin doctor (dermatologist) and get the right treatment. It's more troublesome than harmful, but van be controlled, sometimes with a pill; sometimes with a lotion; sometimes with a shot

The number one reason people suddenly develop a new/strange rash/hives is because they have recently changed laundry detergent or body soap.

I once woke up with itching and hives that covered most of my body especially my back. My back looked like the Japanese flag. It itched and I had welts all over my body. I showed some workers my back and one worker immediately called her doctor and made an appointment for me. I went to her doctor and he said it may have been caused by something I ate. I had a mixed seafood platter the night before and it could have been a reaction to the seafood I ate.
The doctor ended up giving me 2 shots of adrenaline and 1 shot of cortisone. Within minutes the welt, itching and redness began to go away. The shots were all given to me on my backside. The 2 shots of adrenaline made me seem like I was speeding my butt off. I was glad I went to the doctor.

also you could be allergic to the metal button on your pants.

my friend is allergic and gets a rash like you described all the time.

try and get a patch of cloth and cover the button on the inside.

the rash wont dissapear if you itch it and it may go away.

good luck (:
