I had back surgery before Christmas.?!

Question: They had to remove a bone and I have rods and screws in my whole therasic part of my spine. I had osteomyelitis (an infection in my spine) which is what caused all this crap. I lost my strength in my legs because I was basically immobile for 8 months before they decided to do surgery. I am able to get around with the help of a walker but not for long distances yet. Basically what I would like to know is about how long am I looking at for recovery?

That would depend on your age, your level of activity prior to your condition, and the amount of effort you put in now to rehab. I am assuming that you have a doctor and a physical therapist working with you on your recovery so they would be better people to ask. I would estimate anywhere between 3 months to one year.
