This past October I had a massive heart attack and had to be rushed into emergency bypass surgery. During the attack they had to shock me back to life 7 times--and even though I was technically dead, I was still mentally aware of my environment. I felt every shock that was given me with the paddles and there are no words in the English language to describe the pain. Anyway, I felt myself drifting off and I can truly say that dying is no different than falling asleep...I felt the pain leaving me, thinking that the heart attack was ending, but in reality I was dying. Visually, the only thing I saw was a dark spiral as I felt myself "going to sleep". No light, no tunnel, just a dark whirlpool looking spiral. I don't know if that had any meaning, but that's all I saw. Once they stabilized me, they put me under and I had a triple bypass operation. Due to complications after surgery, I spent 2 months in the hospital and in need of a heart transplant. Currently, I feel good and just waiting my turn. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just email me.

i was at camp one year and
i was swimming in the lake
i jumped off the floating dock
and i got caught underneath it when
i was trying to get up!
i couldnt find my way to the surface
and finally someone helped me out
i felt like i was dying seriously

I was in a nasty car wreck over the summer, right before the collision, I literally saw my life flash before my eyes, and I took all the impact of the crash. Thankfully, I had a seatbelt and a guardian angel protecting me, and I made it out with just a bad back, but the door had to be sawed off so I could get out, and the seatbelt had to be cut. I'm so thankful to be alive now! Best of luck with your health!

It wasn't the medic's that spared your life, it was GOD. Remember, if it's not your time, God will not take you. My experience came with child birth. I had a very elevated blood pressure level which was severely dangerous. My pressure was so high that it was pressing down on my baby's brain and killing him. I had to have an emergency surgery to remove the baby. He was then placed in Neonatal Intensive Care for weeks. I stayed in intensive care for a week due to my pressure wouldn't normalize. During surgery, I remember drifting(near death experience) into another place that wasn't earth. It was the most beautiful place you would ever want to see. While visiting this place, I could remember pleading with God to spare my life. I asked him to let me go back and be with my 2 other children. After all, the doctor's told me they didn't know if I was going to make it. I still could remember praying and asking God to send me back to my children. Once I had this experience, I wouldn't tell anyone for years until I met a Minister friend and I shared this with him. Upon watching a talk show (Oprah), she had guests that were talking about they had died and gone to Heaven and described the same place that I saw. I felt so relieved. Stay Blessed.

In 2006 my heart stopped. I collapsed and then my ICD restarted my heart. In my fall when I collapsed I broke my left ankle, both bones just snapped. I didn't feel a thing until I came to and tried to stand up. After I fell back to the floor I looked down and saw that my entire left foot was turned extremely to the left. just sort of hanging there. That was the first time that I knew I broke my ankle. My ICD or implanted defibrillator was due to be changed later that week but it did it's job on that Saturday morning, July 1, 2006.
