What is the quickest way to get rid of a cold sore..?!

Haha, I'm having the same problem and I'm in a play on Wednesday!! God damn these cold sores. Here is some of the advice I got:
- Use ice
- Use Aloe Vera (the cream or the actual plant)
- Scrub really, really hard
- Use Zovirax
- Wash with warm water, rub till the dry skin comes off
- Put an onion on it...
There are probably a ton of others but these sounded most effective. I think I'll keep the onion as a last resort though :)

Hold a piece of ice on it for as long as you can. Keep doing it. I'll bet you have an important meeting tomorrow. The anxiety probably brought it on.

Zovirax is the most effective. Use as directed - 5 times a day.
there is a new patch on the market that you stick over the cold sore if its on the lip and then you can even put lippy over it. cold sores can be brought on by anxiety or stress try to relax and don't fret about it there are millions out there that suffer from this
For the long term Zorvirax. For immediate effect use a coldsore patch (Compeed) and put makeup over the top.
