Can you please help?!

Question: I gave up drinking 2 yrs ago as my liver was de-compensated & I only had a matter of weeks (if that) to live. I am past that now & my bilirubin (DAMAGE TO MY LIVER) is the lowest its ever been at 33 & when I was dying it peaked a 499. Now I am really looking after myself & no way will I ever want to drink again how long can I expect a good quality of life before maybe needing a liver transplant. I am 40 yrs old & really take care of my body. As life passes by, the older I get will my bilirubin just naturally keep escalating.

If you're cirrhotic, just continue not to drink. Your bilirubin will probably stabilize at a lower level and you may never need a transplant.

if you eat and drink correctley and do plenty of exercise id say you have a good life ahead of you for more infomation speak to your gp on life changes e.g. healty eating and this should help
