are you insane??nail polish remover can be deadly if taken internally or intravenously.why not try some good old neosporin!

I wouldnt try it if I were you-it will be far too harsh on your already sore area of skin and unlikely to help anyway. Think you just have to stick to ice and abreva and wait it out ;)

I have found that Carmex works best on coldsores and it is much less expensive than Abreva. If you can catch it when you first start feeling it developing, it may not even fully develop (at least that has been my experience). Since you seem to have a full blown cold sore, it will take more time to tame it down. Hope it works for you.

Instead, try hydrogen peroxide. If the sore is in your mouth, rinse with HP like you would mouthwash, rinsing three times a day. You shoudl feel results within a day and the sore should be gone within about three days.
An added benefit is that it will whiten your teeth too!
