the first time i shaved mine, i went crazy scratching to the point that i bled and i ended up with razor bumps as the hair grew back. there's a lotion made by summer's eve that is good for that area after shaving, it really cools the skin and takes care of the itching.

remember to always use a brand new razor when you shave that area, be very careful that you don't take layers off your skin by pressing down too hard and lotion up immediately after emerging from the shower.

another tip to avoid razor bumps is to touch up the area as soon as you begin to notice stubble. with time the skin will grow accustomed to shaving and it won't be irritated anymore.

btw it's not gross, it's natural. don't feel guilty for asking, ok?

good for u next time get it waxed ok

Got any pics so we can inspect them to help you with the question?

next time get it waxed...try using some baby powder it might help...
the area is very sensitive and precautions are always required

Hair protects the skin in places where things may rub. It will take your skin awhile to get used to the hair being gone. Clothing will continue to rub your skin, thus irritating your shaved area further.

You have razor burn. If you cant get a wax or don't want to then you need to prepare before shaving your lady bits. Use a sharp razor. You can't reuse a razor on that area over and over. Try to shave with the hair growth. Use lots of shaving cream. If the hair is long, trim before shaving. Moisturize after drying. Sometimes it takes a while for the area to get accustomed to shaving. Good luck!

You have be careful down there as its a very sensitive area.
I have sensitive skin so always make sure I use a good shaving get and conditioner (conditioner is great for this area as it softens it).
Wear loose clothing and wait for it to clear up.
You could look into removal hair creams also.
Good luck.

Ohh if it gets really sore then go to your doctor as an infection may be present.

use Bikini Zone.

DONT shave.. trim with scissors.... becuase I believe that you may have a condition called Hidradenitis Supprativa. It is re-occurring boils/ cysts/abscesses that are often misdiagnosed as ingrown hairs, herpes, being unclean or over weight and folliculitis. This is a newly diagnosed skin condition , but there is a lot of info out there if you are looking.
