mold is a possibility... strange that he was only sick every three months. I would look for other causes... cyclic... it is possible that a certain type of mold releases its spores every 3 months... some other possibilities could also be cyclic weather changes like humidity that bring out other aggrivators of your sons asthma, check heating and cooling system filters, CO2 levels, other food allergies, History of animals in the house?... the possibilities are many. REALLY pay attention to everything in the house even subtle things that may seem insignificant may be huge,,,, hope this helps good luck

It's MOLD, not mould! No, I'm thinking they were doing something to make him sick! Ever heard of Munchhausen's by proxy? Something is going on for him to get that sick every few months! I think your Mom or Dad was making him sick!

I do not think it was the mold and it seems unlikly the dairy products would only react every few months so I have no idea but keep an eye on him this time.
my son had dairy alergy as a baby but grew out of it.

It can be some other food allergy , I would keep a food diary and be very careful to do it everyday.
Then when he gets sick you will have a record of what he ate, and when.
It could be something in their home, but maybe not. Old pillows, old mattresses, where does he sleep?

Insufficient data- But if there is mold in the house, it could indeed be making your son very ill. And it wouldn't be good for you or your parents either. Inspect the house, or have an inspector come in: It might be worth it to all of you.

Good luck!

look under indoor environments. Mold is very possible.

When toxic mold makes someone sick mainly the symptoms due not go away the flu/cold like symptoms will last for a very long time, fatigue, headaches, etc. But depending on how strong the human immune system and the amount of exposure it can affect a person different than it would another person.

If you feel it may be mold contact a certified mold professional to come test for air samples and do thermal imaging of the house to make sure that this isn't the problem this way you can rule mold out.

The best would be to consult an allergist or your doctor and explain the problem to them so they can do blood tests, allergy tests and many other things that this may be.
