How do tell how severe your asthma is? I had an attack today?!

you need to obtain a peak flow meter; your doctor could probably give you one.
when you get it, measure yourself until you get a personal best. then, when you are feeling tight or short of breath, measure yourself- if you are at or below 50% of your best reading, you need medical attention. immediately.
if breathing becomes more difficult that your asthma would be more severe and going to a doctor as soon as possible so he/she could give you some medicine to keep your airwaws open.

just wondered if you go to your nurse for regular checks and to monitor your meds, the nurse usually does a peak flow for you and you can actually see for yourself when your symptoms are worse etc, i know it must be hard for you to deal with but please get advice from your nurse/gp as it could make a big difference on your social life and you would benefit a lot, good luck.
