Passing gasses, but no stool?!

Question: I've been eating only a little for a while (few weeks) due to my anxiety/panic disorder. Actually, there was a period in which I didn't eat almost anything (so I lost about 6kg/12lbs in a month).

Now, for over a week I've been eating rather normally (still somewhat less than I used to), but I have no bowel movements. However, I do pass gasses, so I think that means my bowels/digestion system are working (or am I wrong?).

I'm asking for opinions -- is that normal or is there something wrong? I mean, logic tells me if I eat a little, you can't have bowel movement every day and as there's been a period without eating anything, is there some time required to "fill up" bowels or something? I've always had weird bowel habits -- sometimes few times a day, sometimes nothing for a few days... so, I'm wondering, should I be worried, are my bowels working properly (as I pass gasses, so that means something is actually happening in there) or not? Any suggestions/experiences are welcome.

You pass gas because thats undigested food in your bowels. I'm sure you will go soon. Happy trails!

I have a friend who went through the same thing as you. She was 'compacting' meaning her bowels weren't moving fully like to the point where she was going to the bathroom. She wound up in the hospital taking all these laxatives. She finally went to the bathroom after that. I would definitely get a check up with my doctor if I were you before it gets really backed up.
