Do you take Accutane?!
Question: For those who are taking or have been on Accutane: Did it really work for you? Did you experience any of the side effects?
Can you use Proactiv with it?
I have severe Excema, will it be irritated if I go on it?
I'm also on Zoloft. Does anyone know if I can still take that?
I know I could be asking these questions to a dermatologist, but I've had bad experiences with those doctors, and I wanted to get answers from peoploe who have actually used Accutane.

Oh, and since I've heard that it's supposed to keep your acne way virtually forever, doesn't that mean somehow it's always going to stay in your body? Don't you think that will effect a pregnancy even years later in your life?

- it worked
-don't use proactiv with it
-the excema probably will be irritated by the accutane, ask the your dr. i don't have excema, so i don't know for sure.
-you can still take zoloft
-it is safe to get pregnant after you've been off the accutane for one month.
- a course of treatment can cost a couple thousand dollars without insurance.
p.s. it doesn't stop oil production forever like the first answerer said. the oil comes back when you stop the accutane, however the acne usually doesn't.
i believe it acutally shuts down the oil glands in your face, so they can never produce oil again, aka no acne ever again.
