well 98.6 is completely normal.
And a little fever is a good thing. It means that your body is fighting the infection. You really only need to take medication for your fever if it gets over 100.3

Then it would be alright to take some fever reducers.
Tylenol, acetaminaphen
Advil, ibuprofen

99+ is a fever, really.
98.7 i think is the average temp of a human being.

98.6 degrees F. is normal.

drink plenty of fluids anything over 99 is considered a low grade temp over 100 it's an actual fever take motrin or tylonol and drink as many fluids as you can sounds like the flu . gatoraide is good for giving you back your electrolytes

A fever simply refers to an elevated temperature. Fevers indicate the immune system is working to overcome the disease.

Your body works most efficiently at a standard temperature; the average is 98.6, but an individual's 'normal' temperature can be a degree higher or lower than this.

A fever becomes dangerous if the body temperature gets to a point where normal cell activity breaks down. You should always treat a fever by cooling the patient, either by removing blankets, using wet towels, or using a fan. You can also use ibuprofen and other drugs to reduce temperature (follow the dosage instructions carefully).

anything over 98.6 is a fever. A lot is 2 words, not one.
