most do. one of the problems with the store-bought units is their calibration (accuracy). many aren't all that accurate, or if they are, tend to become inaccurate within a year of purchase. some units have instructions on how to calibrate the units.
Likewise, many of the courtesy heart monitors at the grocery store or drugstore, are also inaccurate or wrongly calibrated. You wanted to know this, Right?
