Can you mothers tell me??!


Question: im taking my 3 yr old little boy to the doctors today as he has conjuntivitis,its an infection in the eyes,very contagious,he caught it in playschool.ive been told johnsons shampoo works great for the eyes,using cooled boiled water and cotton wool.has any other mother used this method?if so,did it work?thankyou to all.

No do not use anything other than boiled cooled water and always wipe from inside out and change cotton ball each time you wipe to prevent re infection.
Also use the cream they gave you but it is hard at that age to get them to one sit still and two they hate the drops in eyes so just use boiled cool water changing cotton every single wipe.

hi as a mother of 2 boys if found neither of these worked i found the used cold tea bags worked brilliantly but as as my moto is every kid is different trial n error of different things n maybe try a natropath they can be very helpful.

The shampoo is to help wash off the secretions (pus and stuff) from the eyes that harden/dry up on the eyelashes especially after waking up causing difficulty in opening the eyes and not as a cure for the conjunctivitis. You can use it for this purpose and not on the eyes. I am not a mother but I am in the field of health care.
