HELP please! WHITE LUMP IN THROAT?!
Question: I woke up this morning to find a white thing growing on the side of my throat its small.. and i thbough it was a bit of food so i tried to scratch it but its hard. its hard to swallow too and my throat is sore. im a bit short of breath.. do you know what this is?? im really worried it coulod have been there longer as i dont generally gawk at my thorat. my tonsils are swollen along with my glands for the past few days

this sounds like tonsilitis, my friend had it & she had the white lump on her throat aswell, its just were they have become infected a little bit
go to the doctor and they will give you some anti-biotics for it and it will clear it up =]
sometimes the white lumo thing bursts & then it goes but you cant feel it, dont worry you will be fine

could be tonsilitis... check to see if they're inflamed... see your g.p., but if it starts hurting catch a cab to the hospitol you never know...

Yup. Sounds like tonsillitis. No big deal usually, but you do need to go to the doctor. You may also want to gargle with warm salt water. It tastes a little crappy, but helps out a lot. Hope you feel better!
Thanks for asking this question. I had this problem quite a few times and even went to see an ENT doctor. He said he didn't know what was going on with me except that I had that white "thing" inside the side of my throat. Every time I swallowed I could test something like morning breath (almost). hard to describe. My tonsils were not inflamed or swollen. After time, it went away, but then came back. I never got any answer.
