It can be transmitted via sex and/or contact with the following areas of the infected person body: reproductive tract, cervix, urethra, mouth, throat, eyes, anus and mother to fetus, and is transmitted during contact with or without ejaculation of the male. Symptoms arise within 5-30 days, with burning urination, discharge, pain-full/swollen testicles, vaginal bleeding and may mimic a urinary tract infection. Complications include but not limited to: PID and Epididymitis.. Pregnant mothers can transmit to baby: therefore fetal blindness or blood infection. Test is simple: Blood for infection. Treatment: Easy-antibiotics. Prevention is easier: Condom and decrease risky sex and/or promiscuity. It is very common to get Chlamydia also from a person who also has GC, therefore get tested for both.
