First you need to know how to recognise an anaphalactic shock. she may have anxiety, red blotchy skin, swelling of tongue and throat, puffy eyes, impaired breathing, wheeziness of gasping for air, signs of shock such as pale, cold, clammy skin and possible cyanosis (blueness of earlobes and lips).
Once recognised you need to phone for an ambulance immeadiately- anaphalactic shock is a life threatening condition and if the throat swells she may end up smothered.
next you need to find her auto-injector or epipen, containing adreniline! she should have one of these if she suffers from this regularly. you then need to help her administer it but DO NOT administer it yourself unless she is unconcious.
If she does fall unconcious- check her airway is clear by tilting head back and check her breathing for 10 seconds. If she is not breathing comence CPR- 30 chest compresions to two breaths continuously until help arrives. If she is breathing put her into the recovery position or if you dont know it- lie her on her side and re open airway.
The only other thing you can do before help arrives is monitor and comfort her until help arrives. Check her level of response ( can she talk to you easily or is she semi concious), her pulse and breathing.
If her breathing returns to normal after the use of the epi pen you can lie her down, raise her legs and cover her with a blanket to treat for shock. NEVER LIE SOMEONE DOWN IF THEY HAVE BREATHING DIFFICULTY BREATHING!
Reasure her and wait until help arrives!
Hope this helps!

!CALL THE PARAMEDIC INSTANTLY
- UNLESS YOU HAPPEN TO WALK ROUND WITH A SYRINGE OF ADRENALIN ALL THE TIME!

Ask her.
Call 911 and giver a shot from her Epipen. If she has not got one than she has to take care.

anaphylactic shock i think is a swelling of the tongue. I,m not sure myself but if you typed it into yahoo search bar then im sure you would find out wot to do in case one happens. God gorbid they do but prepare for a shock if it does.

Your friends gp should be given her adrenaline to carry around with her in case she takes another attack. It is the most frightening experience for anyone to go through. I did when I was given an an histamine injection and ended up on a drip for more than a week.

To this day I'm very vigilant to the type of medication that I'm given.

Your friend should also carry a medi disc on her in the form of apendant or wrist band with all the information regards nut allgery.

If it happens you should call the ambulance straight away and try to keep her airways clear as the throat closes up very quickly. Do not call the doctor first but the ambulance.

911 NOW, those are deadly

She should have an epipen which has medication in it to stop the anaphlyaxis.

If she starts to have a reaction -- stops breathing, swelling, etc...
Call 911

Take the pen - shoot it into her leg. It has directions on it; but it might be a good idea to look at the directions now so you know what to do. The medication is somewhat short acting but it usually is long enough for the rescue squad to arrive.

CPR as needed until the ambulance gets there -- keep airway open is the big thing

1. Call 911 ASAP
2. Find a epi pen. it may be in her purse. I'd ask her about it.
3. If you find if, open it and inject it in her leg. Up near the quads.
Theres really not a whole lot you can do, if she stops breatheing you'll have to start CPR. I'm not going to explain how to do CPR its very hard to explain. Are you first aid certified? it'd be a good thing to get.
Anaphylactic shock what happens in the body is the throat will swell and the person can't breath.
Its sad I'm not for sure if its true. The more times a person gets in contact with what ever their allegeric too, its the less time they have to live each time. I'm not for sure about it I heard it, my sister has the same allergy.

Your friend should carry an Epipen, which is the shot of Adrenalin people are mentioning. An allergic reaction should be something she could alert you to, but the best thing you could do for her is to call 911. A reaction to nuts would generally start with other allergic symptoms such as itching, rash, sneezing or a hoarse wheezy sounding voice. It could then quickly progress to vomiting and trouble breathing (anaphylaxis) and then a loss of consciousness.

With an already serious condition it makes sense to call 911 as soon as she needs her Epipen. If she doesn't carry her epipen everywhere - bug her about it!!

You sound like a great friend :)

She should have an epipen with her at all times, and her friends should know where it is and how to use it. Nuts are in so many things, she is in for real trouble. They are getting better about putting even trace amount of nuts on labels, now, but if she eats out, she would never know what she was getting.
The answer Epipen and 911 is correct.
