Can you get chicken pox even though you already had the shot?!


Question: ive never had it before but i got the shot
but now i have these red dots all over one of my legs (not the other one) but it only itches a little bit...i just have no idea what it is, could it be chicken pox?

Yes, you can get chicken pox after receiving the vaccination. It should be a milder case but that is not the case for everyone. The vaccination was really designed to minimize cases of shingles in the elderly.
Your condition on your leg sounds less like than chicken pox and more like something obtained from contact. If it continues to spread, worsens or does not improve (if you leave it alone), see your primary care physician. Good luck.

yes you can get chicken pox even after vaccination. highly doubtful that just one leg would be affected by chicken pox. my recommendation would be to schedule an appt with a dermatologist. If you dont want to do that yet, try hydrocortisone cream or benadryl cream a couple times a day to your affected leg.

yep= the version would be more mild.
