Anyone on line? im getting heart palps and scared,?!

Question: How old are you? I have palpitations all the time and I am only 27 yrs. old. If you need to, see a cardiologist about your heart issues instead of using the internet. The cardiologist is most helpful.

your probably having a panic attack, just breathe slowy in and out and focus on your breathing, if it gets worse just call an ambulance..but first focus on breathing slowly...you'll be ok:)

Honey, stay calm. I've had heart palpitations since I was about 10. If you're having pain or if they make you dizzy, call 911. If you are having more than usual, go to the ER or call your doc right now. Good luck :)

if it is a first episode then go a doctor otherwise take your medication, looks like you have anxiety neurosis with panic attack.

Just breath easy and take one Disprin tablet in water, if you have a sorbitrate ,then have one. you will be alright.

If you are otherwise healthy without heart problems don't worry. Heart palpitations are a common occurrence to a variable degree in most people at some point in their life. They may be more noticeable if you are under stress or with excess coffee intake. As long as they don"t make you feel sick (chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness) there is no immediate cause for concern. Even if this is some form of arrhythmia or irregular heartbeat there are plenty of available treatments.

You need to give more info on what you are experiencing. If your pulse/heart rate is irregular (1 beat followed by 2-3 quicker beats) that is bad and you should go to the ER.

If you have episodes with extremely rapid pulse for a few seconds you are probably ok but should still follow up with your DR.

If you are having a panic attack then you should follow the treatment prescribed if you are receiving care from a DR.

Can you give more detail on what you are experiencing?

You could have a heart murmur, but don't worry!

When I first had palpatations I thought my heart was beating a thousand times a minute and the blood was going to burst out of my fingertips. I really thought I was going to die.

Don't worry! You'll be fine!

I bet your palpatations have already passed. Next time they come, lie down and breath deeply, ignoring the heart beats and they should pass quickly as you relax.

Go to the doctor and get checked up.

Take it easy Star :-) Do you know what brough the palps on? More info and we can advise more.

In the mean time try to relax and give them a while to go away.
