Whats a good idea for a fundraiser for cancer??!
Question: for school i have to do a project and im thinking about doing a fundraiser of some sort for a cancer..but i just dont know what kind! what are some good ideas for a good way to raise money and awareness for the disease!?!? any ideas are will do!! please help!!

Selling flowers is easy and a good fund raiser. You can sell then single, by the 1/2 dozen or by the dozen. You can take orders in advance for delivery on a certain day.
A word of caution, don't do it near a major holiday as the wholesale price of flowers can go up a lot at holiday time. The best time is 3-4 weeks after a holiday- the wholesale cost is down and the flowers people got for the holiday have died.

sell stuff or make stuff
collect everyones spare change from their change bins at home
there are many companies that will do fundraisers for you - MUCH easier to organize, etc.
you could do pizza sales, car wash coupons, candles, holiday catalogs..tons of stuff like that around.
have cancer t-shirts or bands
make/ buy proubably make kcakes and put on the ''God Bless Amarica'' or Hope''
selling candy or selling caner bracelets like the live strong bands is a good idea for raising money for cancer.. my brother had cancer and I asked around at my local church if they would support me spiritually and financially and they did..
do a walk-a-thon go to your highschool track and have people walk its really fun have boothes set up all around the track selling things to raise money.have food and all sorts of things music too. whats really fun is to make it a 48 hour thing and have people set up tents and things and sleep over night kids enjoy it and people walk all night and donate so much money. also an even i did once is have papers and for 1$ people can right whatever they want to a love one that at night when its dark put all the things people wrote in a ballon and set it up so it goes to all loved ones.
sell tickets for a 50/50 draw or one thing we also did was have everyone bring in a baby picture.hang them all on a board and every one pays say 2$ to fill out an answer sheet of who is who.only you know the answers.it is alot of fun and makes money.who ever gets the most right wins a prize.the rest of the money goes to the cause.
make some items like bracelets, " I support" pins, some candies. sell them for money. thats what my school is doing.
A golf tournment can raise up $4000-$5000. You have four on a team and it would be $400 a team. Also have companys sponsor a hole for $150-$250 ea. You can also have a raffle at the end and sell tickets for that. Many things to do. Good luck
What about an art-walk?have people buy tickets and have people donate art.Get some sponsors.Auction off some stuff and boom money for charity
I heard red meat can cause cancer so maybe try hamburgers?
Try a "Countdown for Cancer". It could be a lockin either at your school or a local place (bowling alley, skating rink, etc...) that would donate space for a lockin. You could ask people to donate food and drinks. You could play games or whatever your hosting place has to offer, but have little movies every hour or so talking about cancer, effects of cancer, and prevention. You could have real cancer patients give speeches about the hardships of cancer and how they are overcoming it. All proceeds could go to a cancer research program (ex/ Susan G. Komen)

I don't know how old you are or what grade you are in. One idea would be to have all the kids collect pennies. Make cool posters to hang around the school. Which ever class collected the most could win some kind of prize. Maybe they would get to throw a pie in the principals face or something fun like that. If each kid in school brought in 100 pennies just think how that would add up. Another idea for younger kids is a jump rope - a - thon. You would collect pledges for jump roping for a certain amount of time.
My kid's school did "Pennies for Cancer" and raised over $1000. It was easy to do and didn't cost anything to do. Each class really tried to out do the other classes.
Cancer can be cured with organic veges. Set up a organic vege co-op. Go to the vege markets and buy a box of about 5 different organic veges. Divide the boxes up into take home boxes for peolple and sell them.
