What is wrong with me? Serious?!

Question: Last Friday I started to get a sore/dry throat and it juts kept getting worse.

Symptoms:

- Dry/Sore throat
- Cough
- Runny Nose
- Light headed
- Very Tired
- Head feels heavy
- Sometimes headache

It's been like 5 days and the medicine I've been taking isn't working effective.

It's caused me to miss 2 days of school.

What's wrong with me and is there a cure? Should I goto the doctor?

This sounds like a cold/flu and if that's the case, no medicine can give you an instant fix. Viral infection usually take at least a week to clear up on its own, and if you want to help your body along, drink a LOT of water, tea, hot soups (avoid cold liquids), eat as much as your stomach can tolerate (not junk food), and rest your body as it is under siege. This is the only way you'll get better - no drugs will make it any faster.

if its viral, antibiotics wont help it. it has to clear its course on its own.

you should, however see a doctor asap.

get well soon!!!

i think you have a flu or severe cold, my brother and i also had that symptoms , if you want to cure then u should go to see a doctor and get a medicine will do it right

if its getting worse, you should go to the doctor. dont have any dairy products, itll only make it worse. im no doctor, but it sounds like a flu to me. those are the symptoms my father had, and the doctor said he had a flu. i hope that helped !!!

I think you may be experiencing some allergy problems. The sore throat & cough can be from post-nasal drip (running down the back of your throat). The runny nose, light headed feeling, heavy head feeling, & headache can all be attributed to sinus cavity congestion. Try some Claritin D. If it doesn't help, see your doctor.

You didn't mention fever, so I doubt it's the flu. It's natural to feel drained when we don't feel well. You probably aren't sleeping well.
