How fast does Acyclovir work on cold sores?!
Question: My doctor prescribed Acyclovir for what she thought might be a cold sore (which I have never had) on the corner of my mouth. I saw her and started taking the medication when the spot was at its worst about 2 days ago. Within the past 48 hours, it has almost completely healed. Does Acyclovir really work this fast?

Yes it does. Once you start taking the medication, things should begin healing within a day or so. Though, I've been told that Acyclovir doesn't work as well on Type I (oral) as it does on Type II (Genital).
