I have a lactose intolerant child. Does anyone has a recipe for cookies that do !

Question: I thought of trying to make the cookies with the hypoalergenic formula he drinks...but I am not sure the cookies are going to even get cooked! and the taste...I am worried they will be very plain. Any ideas on how to get such a recipe? or have you tried something like that before? Many thanks.

I don't have any at hand but try looking up a kosher cookbook. Jews have very strict rules about dairy, meat and "parve" (neutral= meat and dairy free) I know lots of people with various allergies that do this.

use lactose free milk , or just make a regular recipe with water instead of milk. it won't be as sweet, but they might still taste okay.

I have never made cookies with milk...make some Nestle Tollhouse cookies..no milk added

Sure, I'll post a couple below. But first, let me add something to a totally unrelated question you'd asked elsewhere. I wanted to send an email but you didn't allow them on Yahoo, and the question was closed. (Thanks for making me the best answer!)

You mentioned shade as an issue for Grand Canyon camping. Check out the North Rim. It's 1500 feet higher than the South Rim, and it's in the midst of a tall pine forest... plenty of shade. Totally different from the South Rim! Nice and cool, even in summer....more like Colorado than Arizona.
