I have really sore ears, ways to treat ear infections?!
Question: Hello. I cleaned my ears with cotton buds and now i have really sore ears. I have been using Waxole to dizzolve the clogged wax but i was wondering if anyone has any home remidies or something other than going to the doctors and getting it seringed out coz i get really dizzy and sick from it. PLEASE HELP!

Yes. I've heard that warm oil will do the trick. Rinse with warm water when you're done. Your ears probably hurt right now because you pressed too hard with the cotton buds and/or pushed the hard wax further down the ear canal. At any rate, your eardrum is not happy but as long as you didn't puncture it (there would be blood), it will forgive you soon. Take some Acetominofen or Ibuprofen for the pain. Next time go for the oil first rather than the cotton buds to get the wax out.
My sister in law always treated her children with slightly warmed olive oil which she pours into their ears.
You need to seek medical attention and throw away those cotton swabs. Using swabs pushes the wax back into the ear canal causing it to fester and result in an ear infection. You could seek out someone that does candle wicking in which they draw the wax back out of your ear but since you are getting dizzy and sick from it I would say that you probably have an inner ear infection. Any ear infection left untreated can cause more serious health issues even damage to your heart. Ear infections should always be taken seriously and for God's sake - stop using those cotton swabs in your ear canal.
