Acne solutions?!

Question: DIET is KEY.

*don't do and/or eliminate as much as possible*

-soda
-sugar/corn syrup
-meat/dairy/eggs
-processed food
-fast food
-(partially) hydrogenated oils (almost in everything)
-additives
-fried foods
-white bread/flour

-beer, to a lesser extent (if you must drink, drink a little wine)

*eat as much as possible*

-SALADS (at least, 1 a day)
-fruit (not canned)
-fruit juice (100%)
-organic
-whole foods
-raw foods

it may take a while for your system to cleanse, but:

-be consistent
-exercise
-and make an effort to REALLY enforce those dietary guidelines as much as possible; not just a little, but a real effort. read those labels. if you can't afford to shop at a health food store or your parents don't eat that way, be prepared to get a job.

You want to keep a 80% alkaline to 20% acid balance in your system; which might be difficult at first, but stick with it (it may take a few months), but, I guarantee, you'll see an improvement; the longer you stick with it, the better your complexion will continue to get.

everyone says proactive. neutragena too!

some are witch hazel, tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide etc.

try changing your pillows and use milder soaps. it could just be allergies.

it doesnt work for everyone,
but the cream you put on a baby's diaper rash works for me.

Proactive is good.... if you don't have sensitive skin, Proativ is very harsh in it's treatment of acne, it doesn't work for sensitive skin, sure it gets rid of the acne, but it replaces it with a bad rash(at least when i tried it)

Then again my skin is very sensitive, almost anything can piss it off... like i held my head under the water in a hot tub for 90 seconds and i got a chlorine chemical burn....

I would go for something natural, anything with no side effects. You can get homeopathic treatment, wash your face with sodium chloride (solution of salt + luke warm water), or vitamin E oil (you can purchase those vitamin E tablets at any pharmacy, split it open, and apply the oil on your face. Drink plenty of fluids; it will flush the toxins out of your body. If you decide to use products like clean and clear acne treatment or some other type of acne treatment, just a heads up, you may encounter your acne condition becoming worst but there is a reason behind it. The reason is that, when you use any acne medication and apply it to your face, it sucks out all the dirt and traped bacteria lieing on your skin surface FIRST, which causes alot of pimples to form. But once these pimples are gone, you should see your acne becoming less visible. Also, just because you begin to see that acne condition is becoming worst, dont give up on the medication, Keep using it !! Also, don't rub your skin to much with a towel or cloth as it will iritate the skin.

Accutane and a good diet + excercise cannot be beat.

Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Other than washing your face a lot : (I recommend Clearasil Ultra. There is a 3 step system and it works great!)

Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.

Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.

Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. This might also make your skin dry.

Drink plenty of water.

Pimple Removal : (only do this on pimples that have formed a head)

Prepare for a small surgical pimple removing procedure. You'll need a small sewing needle, a bottle of alcohol, some gauze (or a small band-aid), and some warm water. Some people think you'll need to run a needle through a flame. This isn't Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Rubbing alcohol will do.
Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Also, dip a majority of the needle in the alcohol, and for safe measure apply some of that alcohol to your fingers and the pimple--dabbing with some gauze to dry the area.
Prick the white part of the pimple very lightly with the tip of your needle. Once you've done that, put two small squares of gauze on either side of the pimple and apply pressure with two fingers to ensure that the remaining puss is squeezed out of the pore, retaining pressure until clear liquid appears. When clear liquid or blood appears, you'll know the pimple is gone.
Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

For redness use eye drops.

This works for me!
