I have a question about breasts/breast CANCER...?!

Question: How old does a girl have to be to go in and get it checked?
I'm not sure how to examine myself, i've tried and I feel a bunch of weird things when I touch around it so I don't really know what to look for.. I think I feel a lump on both sides in the EXACT SAME spot..are those lumps? Or muscles...?

What are some symptoms of breast cancer? :(

I'm 14 years old and my cup size thingy is 32C.

It is EXTREMELY unusual for someone as young as you to have breast cancer. 80% of people diagnosed with breast cancer are over 50. Routine screening for breast cancer starts at 40 in the US, 50 in the UK.

What you describe is normal, and not a symptom of breast cancer. You are still developing.

To stop you worrying, you should talk to your mum if you feel you can, or to your school nurse if you have one.

Otherwise see your family doctor so that you can be reassured. Try not to worry without cause, and enjoy your life.

Doesnt matter how old you are! Go in right away i would say to the doctor...Breast Cancer is serious! Hope everything is well!

Cancer doesn't discriminate. If you think you feel a lump, tell your parents or you mom. Think positively 80% of lumps o cysts or non cancerous.

Symptoms
Generally, early breast cancer does not cause pain. Even so, a woman should see her health care provider about breast pain or any other symptom that does not go away.

Common symptoms of breast cancer include:

A change in how the breast or nipple feels
You may experience nipple tenderness or notice a lump or thickening in or near the breast or in the underarm area.
A change in how the breast or nipple looks
This could mean a change in the size or shape of the breast or a nipple that is turned slightly inward. In addition, the skin of the breast, areola or nipple may appear scaly, red or swollen or may have ridges or pitting that resembles the skin of an orange.
Nipple discharge

probably only fatty tissues but see the doctor to put your mind at rest or do you not have a mum or female you can talk to.

If I were you I would tell my mum/dad and go and see a doctor and get them to give you a breast examination.

A lump should always be checked out, but it doesn't mean it is cancer all the time, it could be that you have cysts in your breast, most of aunts have them.

Put your mind at ease and go and get it checked out, the sooner the better.

your young likely to young. your supposed to go in a circular motion all around your breast. your breast are in the process of growing that is likely what your feeling. especially since you feel it on both sides

I think the best thing you could do is have your parents, preferably your mom, take to to a doctor who can explain to you what you need to look for.

It's VERY rare for someone your age to have beast cancer but you are not too young to start checking.
