Because everybody has to go through a certain degree of pain before they can make it to the next level ---adulthood. Rights of passage and what not. I'm sure you can find some really immature people that are just past 18yrs old and people find them stupid, or dull or inexperienced---extremely naive. Suffering is divine.
Hormones. Hormones and the changes make you self conscious and bring on the acne. Sucks, doesn't it?

At least you can have all your awkward, zitty, self-conscious years in a row instead of spread out over a lifetime! This too shall pass.
idk and it does suck i had it from like 12 to 15 then it pretty much cleared up, then after i had my son at 17 it came back worse then ever, and i dont know why.

I had the face covering kind from 16 to about 18 (went to a dermatologist) and I would sit in front of the mirror and prayer and I really did not get much male attention til it went away......
