Question about food poisoning......?!

Question: i think I had food poisoning, I had severe cramping, vomiting and diarrhea for one day and this was 2 days ago. I could eat nothing for the whole next day and even now when i eat something i feel a bit nauseated. Could this have been food poisoning? How long can you feel ill afterwards?
