Answers: I'm waiting for the commerical for Soma to come out. Depressed? Do some push ups! Bi-Polar? Good for you! Manic? Get in line!

Absolutely. I believe medication has its place. It has certainly helped control debilitating diseases around the world. It is beneficial... the problem with it is that everyone thinks that it's a cure for everything. For example, a doc might perscribe someone slightly high blood pressure something to lower their blood pressure, when really all the person needed to do was drop 10 pounds, exercise a little more and quit eating mcdonalds, burger king and wnedy's all the time. Or your teenager is having moodswings... PROZAC is the answer... not behavioral therapy and counselling.... or your 4 year old can't sit still.... ADHD.... thank god we have adderall! Never mind structured routine, behavioral therapy and cutting out sugar. Now, mind you, I am not saying that NO ONE needs these medications, because some people certainly do... but come on! Most people are just lazy and don't want to deal with things themselves... and don't even get me started on antibiotics.... sniffle, sniffle.. oh, guess I need some amoxicillan... two days later... hmmm... I feel better, I thin I'll save the rest of these pills for next time I get sick.... Meanwhile, things are mutating. I am just waiting for the day (in fear, mind you) when we can't treat a simple wound infeciton with ANYTHING because all microorganisms are resistant to all antibiotics...

Are people overly dependant on medications?

YES, YES, YES, YES, YES............NEED I GO ON.

.

Lol, Some people have to take them.
But more less, some people are very
overly dependant on medications.

dude what the hell u just say?

People expect a quick fix for everything. IF all they have to do is take a pill then they will... they think it is easy. People doen't want to change the way they live their lives nor do they believe what they do is contributing to their problem. Pills are easy. Changing lifestyle..... hard. Most choose easy.
