Question: Hello, my brother is afraid that he has psoriasis. Can you please tell me what the symptoms are? What comes first?
His voice also changed. It is like as though he has a cold or something...

There are many symptoms of psoriasis , red patches of skin with loose, scaley skin can usually be seen on the knees or elbows feet even scalp..anywhere to be honest..even on the genitals..
Symptoms vary for each type as so does the severity and appear in a wide spectrum.
Plaques(patchy areas of dead skin or silvery looking skin) and can occur anywhere, Majority of people with psoriasis have plaque psoriasis. Mild scaling to thick, crusted plaques(crusted skin) on the scalp. or other areas of the body.
Itching, especially during sudden flare-ups and bleeding if scab is picked off.Psoriasis is an auto-immune disorder and can flare up at anytime, there are medications that can minimize/control flare ups. Speak with your physician if you have any of these symptoms also would like to add it is not contagious so dont worry.
I think I have psoriasis also! Mine started around a scar on my scalp, now its the size of a quarter. one on the back of my head. its white flakey and itchy. I used some medicine from the store and it helps a little. Im looking for a good cure for the stuff myself.
