It sounds to me like the warm shower just drew out a zit. When you have Herpes 1 (cold sore), usually always begin with a tingling sensation or the area may get real itchy. You'd have felt this before anything came to the surface. Then the area starts to swell a bit and gets painful. Next it will kind of break open and be oozy. I seriously doubt that what you are experiencing is a cold sore but watch for further developments. If I were you, I'd glob some white toothpaste on it (not the gel kind) and see what it looks like in the morning. Yep, probably just a garden-variety zit.

go to the store and get special cream for it. Just put it on like 3 times a day and it should go away in like a week

Cold sores do not look quite the same as pimples!! They are also usually painful!! If you believe that it is a cold sore there are many remedies at the drug store. I have also been told and have done this myself and it seemed to help! Hold ice on it for about 5 min at a time about every half hour for 2 or 3 hours. (or as much as you can) Cold sores like warmth, not cold!! It makes mine go away faster. Do not pop it or scratch it if it is a cold sore!! Also ambesol and oragel are good for numbing the pain! Good Luck!!

It may be a cold allergy--or infection of outward ingredient--such as-By product of lip-sticks--consult with your physician

Cold sores are caused by a viral infection that attacks the skin and nervous system. Cold sores are small, painful, fluid-filled blisters on the mouth or nose. Don't pick cold sores because this may spread the virus to other parts of the body, or allow the sore to become infected.

Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated, and avoid salty, spicy or acidic foods and drinks, which may irritate the sore. Eating soft foods such as soup may be less painful, as there is less need to chew and move the mouth.
