Did you see the study that said heavy cellphone use can cause cancer?!

Question: An Israeli scientist, Dr. Siegal Sadetzki, has found a link between cell phone usage and the development of tumors. She and her colleagues found that heavy cell phone users were subject to a higher risk of benign and malignant tumors of the salivary gland.

Those who used a cell phone heavily on the side of the head where the tumor developed were found to have an increased risk of about 50% for developing a tumor of the main salivary gland (parotid), compared to those who did not use cell phones.

Do you believe it?

Yes. I have read much about the studies of cell phone use and cancer.

There is proof that the cops who sit with a radar scanner resting on the seat between their legs are more apt to get cancer where they really don't want it! Not that anyone wants it anywhere. So there is no reason to doubt these depositions about cell phone & cancer. There are a lot of cancer related deaths in areas where there are a lot of high wire electrictity -- they constantantly carry signals, and it can have an impact.

I don't talk on the phone that much. If I'm in my car, it's on the bluetooth and never touches my face.

However, they used to say sitting too close to the television would blind you.

And some foods get tainted and kill people or make them ill.

Life is about taking the risks. The one I am concerned about is the music that blasts straight into a person's ears -- I can hear it and I'm not wearing the headphones -- there willl be a lot of deaf people as time goes on.

You sure the Israeli people aren't trying to catch us off guard?
Throw us off with a decoy and then hit us hard?

Everything causes cancer now....... why shouldn't cell phones

Yeah.. people really should use hands-free devices if they use their cell phone nearly 24/7. Even though bluetooth headsets emit a certain amount of radiation, but the amount is significantly less than the cell phone itself.

On the other hand, It's not good to stare into the microwave when you make a chimichanga, but I catch myself doing that one in a while. :)

I believe there are limited studies that can prove or disprove any theory you can ever imagine.

Those studies weren't very conclusive.
Besides, your exposed to more radiation just going to the beach not to mention all the electronics we live around each day emitting radiation. I'm a skeptic.

They have been saying this for years, one group will 'prove' causes cancer, and then the others will disprove the theory.
