Please help with a viral diagnosis (or sth else)!!?!

Question: I'm 20 years old and I've been really unwell for 2 1/2 months. It all started with getting progressively tired for the first two weeks, then I went to the gp and he thought I had glandular fever cause i only felt malaise and fatigue. I didn't have glaandular fever, my blood test resulted positive but the gp said it shows that i had it at some stage in my life but not now. They already tried cytomegalovirus tests, urine tests, etc but they don't know what I have. I also had a UTI for about two weeks which worsened the problem, cause I felt more muscle pain, but it has been treated with norfloxacin. The "virus" (but don't knw which one!) has made my gastritis come back really badly, and after the dose of antibiotics for the UTI i had to take enother one for seven days (metronidazole) and I have no appetite left. The thing that really worries me is that I feel an excruciating muscle pain that is getting worse 'cause at the beginning it was only in some parts of my body but now all of it!

2 and 1/2 months is a long period . i think ur required complete clinical examination , proper history of ur problem , ur past medical history and all lab investigations . GP seems not seems that he have the proper knowledge about ur problem its may be not a localized infection its may be the sign of a systemic illness. u need to visit to a talented doctor ASAP

You should go back to your family doctor and be tested for lyme disease. Even though you may have never found a tick on your body, lyme disease can be severly disabling. Extreme fatigue accompanied by muscle and joint aches sounds like you may have lyme. You want to encourage your doctor to draw blood and run an IgM for lyme accompanied by a western blot to test for it. Hope this helps...please let me know the outcome!
