Its contagious depending on what kind of Bronchitis she has. There are two form, actute bronchitis, is the first. This is the Bronchitis that someone gets after an infection of some kind or the cold. If she has this type of Bronchitis then yes it is very contagious.

Then there is Chronic Bronchitis. This is the form of Bronchitis that is obtained from constant smoking, a virus, or just plainly inhaling too many irritants. Usually this isnt contagious but it can sometimes.

Yes.

It depends if you have inhaled the air she coughed or if you have low immune system.. If the answer is no, you have little chacne of getting infected but if your answer is yes, then it should be it afterwards, consult your doctor for early treatment,

Good luck.

Bronchitis is contagious for about 1st 4 days once showing symptoms, so your s-i-l may or may not still be contagious. Don't let her cough on you. Wash your hands a lot & if your immune system is normal...it should protect you.

If you want take Vit. C 3000mg, selenium 200mcg, zinc 50 mg to keep you healthy thru the winter...and remember to drink plenty of fluids.

Depends upon the immune system

It has infection. But only if cough is on you. Or the Sputum.
That is how it goes. The germs. It goes in with the air you breathe.
And develops into bronchitis.

I have it just now. Someone had a bad cough and was sitting in a seminar with me. I was scared. I have a weak chest. I got it.
But she does not have any Bronchitis.
She only had cough and cold for long.

Just gargle with salt.
Take a salt water bath.
Wish you best.

Actually what is contagious is the bacteria or virus that caused the bronchitis. Bronchitis is your body's reaction to this. Not everyone will develop bronchitis even if they catch the same bacteria.
