Why do ppl with C.O.P.D still smoke?!
Question: Because of their addiction to the nicotine
Addiction and Dependency is not the same thing
I have heard that nicotine is as addicting as heroin........Not looking so easy to quit now is it??
I think another reason is they just don't see any benefit to quitting now that the damage is done

because nicotine is the hardest drug to quit. even though they know they are dying.
Because nicotine is more addicting than almost any other substance. Long term success rates for quitting are very low. Both of my grandparents died to smoking related illnesses. Its sad.
1. Because they are addicted
2. Because a lot of people who smoke do it to relax, and having COPD would just be something else to worry about.
Simple, they are addicted to the nicotine.
