Can diabetics ( tablet controlled) apply for an HGV licence?!
Question: I am one. Yes you can. Rules that apply. You must donate your blood samples to your doctor every three months for levels of sugar. When you stop at truck stops you must get out and walk for 10 min before you eat and 1 hour after you eat. I personally quit sugar for one year and feared it. Today I can eat a piece of that blueberrypie at the TA and not worry too much about it affecting my sugar level much.

anyone can apply for anything.....It don't mean you will get it.
yes as long as they can provide medical evidence if required
Ask the DVLC.
Certainly, but i would,nt recomend it to anyone, the good old days and knights of the road era has gone,Everything is on the clock now and time window deliveries, there are so many speed cameras its almost unbelievable, enough to pay for a new hospital somewhere. An hgv licence is expensive, especially if coupled with a full HAZCHEM licence, and is hard come by,but very easily lost.Your working life may end, well before you quallify for a pension, due to hgv insurance cover on company drivers, not covering you over the age of 62, in a lot of cases ,especially on tankers carrying dangerous liquids.
