AIDS... I AM SCAREd?!
Question: Ok, I am really afraid that i may have been infected with HIV/AIDS because yesterday I was around this guy who has aids (i was volntering at a homeless shelter). I shook his hand and then i put my finger in my mouth to bite my nail. He also kept sneezing arond me. Is IT POSSIBLE I could have gotten it from him, Also I am getitng tested, if i get tested 2 days after will it show up in the blood yet? PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SOURCE

You would probably be the first person in the world to have caught it through the methods you described above. HIV is found in saliva, but only in VERY low concentrations. According to the CDC: "Contact with saliva, tears, or sweat has never been shown to result in transmission of HIV." [1]
HIV is not an airborne pathogen, and cannot be transmitted through sneezing.
HIV tests commonly rely on the detection of antibodies in the blood, saliva, or urine. It takes time to build up an enough antibodies to detect HIV by this method. This usually takes about 3-4 weeks for people. So, no, it would not show up 2 days after an exposure. [2]
So, relax, keep doing good by volunteering at the homeless shelter, just maintain proper hygiene including washing your hands (there are other illness that can be transmitted via casual contact, but don't be mysophobic).

No way. It can only be spread through breastmilk and sexual contact.
HIV (which leads to AIDS) can only be contracted through blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. If you breast feed off of him, you probably have AIDS. If you mixed blood, you probably have AIDS. If you had sex, you probably have AIDS.
In other words, I think you're fine. Don't be like the other shallow people who wear medical masks and hair nets around people with AIDS because they think they'll catch it through the air or something. People with AIDS are still people, so don't think that shaking his hand is a bad or dangerous thing.

no no no,,,,,,,,the only way to contract aids is to have the man have sex with you and he injects his semen into you. Also, if you have any sores on yourself, and he has an opened wound on him,,,,,,,then you might get aids from this person,,,,but like I said,, only through semen and either of you have open sores or abrasions opened upon your skin, and both abrasions touch one another, so here is the answer to you're *AFRAID* question!!!
