How bad are fumes for you from copying machines?!

Question: In one office where I work there is a copy machine about 5 feet from my desk and when people use it, fumes are emitted and I start coughing a little. I have asked them to move it, but to no avail. I also work in another office where the mail room smells really toxic as there is constant copying/no ventilation. These are some pretty prestigous companies and I've complained to my team leader, but nothing has occured. Any ideas where/who I should speak with?

Get a small-medium air purifier to put by your desk. Ask 1st to make sure they'll let you.
You sound extremely sensitive. I doubt the fumes will really damage your lungs. I've heard of the light in the copy machine being harmful to your eyes.

Go to human resources dept. & ask what your rights are.

if the somewhat affects your health you could press charges....

the company itself should be worried bout this and move the machines

i seriosly dont know how bad the fumes are to your health...

im sorry, but thats not a subject pertaining to this category...but well, you asked.
fumes from your copying machines are pretty bad. that means that the copying machine is too old and that its burning out. i recommend you get a new one.
Hope this helps!!
XOXO
