What happened to my mother?!

Question: While doing a very intense exercise routine, my mother got really dizzy and felt like she was going to pass out. She didn't come to until we splashed water on her face and back. She could speak during the ordeal, but just a few words and she would delay with answers. It lasted 2 - 3 minutes. It's been 10 hours from when it happened, but she feels uneasy and jittery now.

She is 40, and she's 40 pounds overweight, and she had not exercised for some time now. You would say she lives a sedentary lifestyle. She is also under some stress due to some family issues. So what happened to her and should she go to the emergency? Could it get worse, is it sign of something serious?

Sounds like she was over doing it with the exercise then when she got winded it probably scared her and put her into a milk anxiety attack. She needs to take it easy for awhile and consult a doctor about a good exercise program.

umm she needs to go to the ER right now!

It could be a sign of something serious, it may be best to bring her to the ER today. The doctor will be able to examine her and determine what really happened.

1.) intense exercise for sum1 lyk that is juss plain wrong. she needed to take it SLOWW. she is just tired. she needs to just rest, drink sugary drinks such as gatorade or powerade and stay in cool areas.

RELAX. She was exercising too hard.

Sounds like a mild stroke!

Sounds like her blood rushed to her head. orange juice or soda is good till you make it to the DOC! She just over did it . And take it slow. work up to a sweat and quit. Wait a few weeks and add just a little more to it, such as more reps or more time, or both!
As you build tolerance and muscle, strength and endurance will prevail!
