Ok, I have psoriasis but have never heard of it being related to tonsils, do tell I'm intrigued.
Thanks for the info, I'm going to ask my doc about that next time I go, I only have it on my elbows constantly and occasionally on my scalp but all the same it's distressing at times. My doc has never mentioned the tonsil thing to me he just gives me a new cream to try each time I go.

When you are younger it is not painful. But when you are older is can be quite sore.

you will be put to sleep and a minor operation usually a day job in hospital, i take it the infection is too bad now? usually your best to keep them in but obviously there is good reason.
I got my tonsils taken out when I was 5. From what I remember of it, they put you to sleep, and laser them out. It's all done in a few minutes, and you don't feel anything, though it may be a bit sore.
you'll be fine they just put you to sleep take them out and then you wake up feeling a bit drunk and they ask you if your hungry and you get food don't worry at this point your so off your face on the drugs eating don't hurt.
the next day if you can eat they'll let you out. i was 22 when i had mine out hope it goes well.
The operation will be painless but you will obviously have a very sore throat when you come round. I had mine out as a child and it is painful when you are young.
Apart from the scary part when they put you to sleep and waking up with the mother of all sore throats it's fine. I had mine out at 9am and was up watching telly again at 1pm. Don't worry about it, it will all be over before you realise.
