Is a meal worth making or eatng if it isn't healthy?!

Question: My fat husband want's different things to eat than I do. I'm 5'10" tall, 130 lbs. He's 6'9" tall, 450 lbs 6 years after a bypass which he's down from 730 lbs. Nothing in his brain has changed and he get's mad because I DO NOT eat like him, and I never will. I have never had to battle my weight and I refuse to change to his eating habits that have made him morbidely obese. Why can't he see, watch how I eat and understand the truth of the matter?

While it seems like your husband needs a reality check. He should not be eating badly if he has had bypass surgery, because he can expand his stomach again and reverse the surgery. Plus he shouldn't of had it if he wasn't willing to change his diet. He is a tall man but my guess is he is still pretty overweight for 450 pounds. And you should definately NOT change the way you eat. You eat healthy, and by the sounds of things take good care of yourself. You should not stop doing that because your husband wants to live a unhealthy lifestyle. My fiance is not overweight, but when we started dating he wasn't the healthiest eater. Because I am Diabetic I have always tried to eat well. So he just learned to eat healthy and I learned how to cook things that were healthy, that he enjoyed. Like to get him to eat vegetables I put a low fat cheese on top or a tomato sauce, to give them a little flavor. I cook with lots of spices and garlic, again to give food more flavor. I cook with whole wheat pastas, which certain brands taste the same as the white pasta. You need to tell your husband that you love him and that you are just looking out for him. And if he still won't change, do it behind his back. My fiance wouldn't know unless I told him that I use, imitation butters, low fat mayonnaise, or artificial sweeteners in certain foods, or etc. There are ways to cut fat and carbs out of meals, that taste just the same as the regular stuff. You just need to research it a little big, and try new things, eventually overtime you learn things that work.
