How to prevent insomnia?!


Question: is anyone know how to calm mind from unnessery thoughts? i have sleep problem for 2 years...therefore i can't sleep properly.my doctor recommends to take some sleeping tablets...when i use them i can sleep otherwise i can't sleep.from the internet i got an infrmation it says taking sleeping tables its not good its for only temparary relief also affects insommnia cycle, so i stoped talking them....still i have no way to solve this problem...i try to calm my self but i couldn't

Sleeping pills really do give you temporary relief. I used to have sleeping issues also. I suggest going to bed at a set time every night. Also, reading a book or listening to relaxing music can help you become sleeping. I bought a cd with the sound of ocean waves and concentrate just on the sound of it. This also helps me go to sleep quickly. Good luck with your insomnia!

Get plenty of sleep. Don't stay up late. Don't drink sodas, coffee or tea at night.

You have to find a way to relax before going to bed. Have you tried laying back in a hot bath for a short while before going to bed?

First I would try to avoid caffeine 4 hours before bed, no t.v. in your room I know its hard but it works for me try not to think about not being able to fall asleep or whay you need to do tommorrow The best advice was given to me by someone and they said the dishes will be there in the mornig you can worry about them later. I also try to read that always makes me tired

One way is eat just veggies/chicken/fish, and work out vigorously two hours before bed time. Keep a time schedule. Dedicate eight hours sleep at a specific time every day. Make it a lifestyle and your mind will turn off when it should. Try the lullaby of a fan running on low. Sweet Dreams!!

Insomnia is often caused by fear, stress, anxiety, medications, herbs, caffeine, depression or sometimes for no apparent reason. Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark.
