First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.

Sweat naturally clenses your skin, so be sure to exersise often!

Apple Cider Vinegar. You can get it from Whole Foods or a health food store.

It works wonders.

I will tell you that it smells bad and tastes bad, but its really good for you. And don't you want a clear face??

Apply it twice a day and drink 2 tbps 3 times a day.

Mix lemon juice, rose water and glycerin in equal quantities. Apply daily before retiring to bed. Eat a lot of green vegetables like spinach, cabbage, beans, peas, lettuce, etc. A salad and fruit should be taken daily. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

when u use proactiv it works, but when you stop, you brake out. Use the neutrogena wave, it rocks and its under 15 bucks.

Apply Sandalwood paste and leave it overnight. You can try making this paste with Rose water for est results.

Dont apply soap. Wash your face with wheat flour and milk. Wash your face with cold water several times a day.

Dont eat fast food and oily stuff.

I am sure Sandalwood paste can work for you atleast it wont harm in anyway.

Best wishes

just clean/wash your face morning and evening with facial cleanser! try to use toner after bath and before goin to sleep! and avoid eating oily foods! goodluck!

milk of magnesia, it rocks! It has a drying agent in it and antibactierial medicine in it. put it on your face and leave it on for 30 min.s then wash it off...you'll see a different in 2 days or sooner!

proactie....it really does work for me,lol. how long have u use it. u should keep usig it for like 2 to 3 weeks. if proactive doesnt work than use .....

sometimes products make your acne get worse before it gets better; however, i did not experiance this with proactiv. keep in mind, there is not one cure for all people with all types of acne. i would suggest going to a dermatologist. he/she will give you the right product for YOU. and if you dont want to be on a perscription, they will suggest the right over the counter product for YOU. i had about a hundred tiny pin prick sized bumps all over the top of my forehead and i tried over the counter stuff and it made it worse. then i went to the dermatologist and he gave me meds and ive only been on them for 4 days and already i can see results.

good luck, and in the meantime, play up your eyes. =D

Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil? Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Wash your face at least twice a day and everytime after you perspire. If your skin is the oily kind, you do not need to apply any moisturizer, your skin oils are enough to keep it hydrated. If you really must apply a gentle light oil free one. Cetaphil? Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 or Cetaphil? Moisturizing Lotion is quite good

Apply pimple cream to the acne area. Try benzoyl peroxide low strength(2.5%) first. You can try oxy, panoxyl or Neutrogena brands. Neutrogena on-the-spot is pretty good. Don't pick poke scrub or pop your pimples unless you want scars which are really ugly. Scrubbing cleansers or washes are also no-nos because it equals picking and poking and makes acne worse Treated pimples gently.

As for the back and chest acne, the skin is thicker here and has harder absorbing system, you can use harsher soap and products here but not too harsh. Use some acne body soap and you can use higher % of benzoyl peroside here. The same rules still apply here, no picking poking and scrubbing the pimples.

Eat healthy. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cut down on sugar and carb intake. Foods like chocolates, coffee, soda drinks, bread, rice potatoes or anything starchy and sugary are no-nos. Cut down on oily and fried foods also. Go for grilled, steamed or baked food. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ensure that your diet is rich in vitamin A, B5, C, E and Omega-3 which are important for the skin. Less stress and sleeping enough is also important. Not having enough sleep is like putting stress on your body. Makes sure you sleep at least 8 hours a day.

Visit a dermatologist if it doesn't work or worsen. Products can only help that much. You may need to tackle the problem internally with medication.

Ive had acne for many many many years. I have tried Proactive, I dont think its worth crap. Nothing works better than Dial antibacterial bar soap & warm water, wash with that twice a day. Then apply 10% benzoyl peroxide at night before bed. It will dry up your acne.
