Would you stay with your bf if you found out he has genital hpv?!

Question: It all depends on how serious the relationship is.
And how he contracted it as well.... Did he have it before he got into this relationship or get it halfway through?

If I really dug the guy, and he got it before he knew me then I would probably stay with him because you can prevent the virus from transmitting to you.

If I really dug the guy and he got it while we were dating then I'd have to think about it long and hard. I probably would not, though, 'cause that probably means he's a slimey cheating bastard.

maybe it depends weather you would like a sexual relationship

Depends on how serious the relationship was, and if he had it before, i probably never would have gotten involved.

esshh nah

First and foremost, you shouldn't be having relations with a boyfriend. What ever happened to waiting until marriage? I guess we, as a society, haven't quite figured out that we have STD's and we spread them through sex before marriage. Unless you are married (which I'm assuming you are not), HPV can be painful, cause cancer, and you will have it FOREVER. There is no cure. You face a great risk of cervical cancer if you get it and you could have HPV for a long time and not even know it. So, give your body a little more respect, get to a doctor to see if you have it, and stop having sex with people that you aren't going to marry within the next 2 months!

My heart goes out to you.
I have had to make that decision. It wasn't easy even though am a seniour citizen.

I don't know what you should do. Consider your ages, and many other things.

If you are young enough, you can get the vaccinatuon. At least that will deter cervical cancer.

I will pray for you

I honestly wouldn't. HPV is forever and can cause cancer. First off get the Guardisil shots (protects against 4 strands of HPV) then talk to your doctor about ways to minimize your chances of getting it. You know all those commercials like "Oh he has it and i dont and we've been together for 5 years."

There may be ways to be careful.

I took the herpes bullet from my boyfriend and decided to stay.
Atleast you are so fortunate that he told you before you got it.

well me and my husband are still together and i just found out i have HPV but i got it from him when he was with his baby's mama so it was before we were married
