I had stitches removed?!

Question: And the doctor put those thin butterfly bandages on the wound. Its been a few days, can I remove them, or do I need to wait for them to come off on thier own. If I remove them, should put a bandage over the wound.?

let them come off on their own. even if you think your wound is healed. i had stiches in my leg once and i took the butterflys off when i thought it was healed and the wound split open. gross, i know. but thats the truth.

Don't remove it if it is still healing if its not then you can take it off and put like a band aid on it.

Generally, you just let them come off on their own...by the time they come off, the wound should be closed. If you can see that it is healed up tightly, and is not stretched tight at any one point (might cause it to pop open) then you should be fine removing them.
