Mamographers? i have a question, please help! I'm so scared?!
Question: I'm 13 years old and just yesterday i discovered a unique tenderness in my left breast that i've never EVER felt before. It hurts when i touch it, but theright one is fine. There's no visible swellling, and i felt for lumps all over the breast, but i couldn't feel any. The nipple is a little tender and may be slightly swollen. I'm so scared of breast cancer.! is this a sign? Is it possible to get it this young? omygod. i'm like freaking out. someone, prefreably with experience in this field. PLEASE HELP! thank you so muchh.

Well, the most important thing to do is NOT panic.
Ask your mom or dad to make an appointment with your doctor, so he/she can see if there is a real cause for concern.
Pain, especially in a developing breast, is very common. You don't say where in your menstrual cycle you are in....you may be pre-menstrual right now (your period is due soon), and breast pain is very common. Ask your mom or dad for some Tylenol to help with the pain until you can see your doctor.
Pain, by itself, is not a direct symptom of breast cancer.
If your doctor feels a lump or something that is of concern, he/she can order a breast ultrasound. Mammography is NOT an option in someone as young as you are.

you can't have breast cancer this young. Your breasts are probably just growing, when mine grew, they hurt when you touched them. Don't worry, the right one will eventually start to hurt too. The tenderness would also be a sign of your period coming soon. Don't worry.
You should not be worried. First breast cancel only happens in 40 year old women. You are only 13 so I think it's more about your period is coming. If you haven't got your period for the first time, then I think it's the time. If you have your period, it's normal because few days before your monthly period comes, your breast tend to harder, and you feel a little hurt especially in the left. Your niples are tender but when they are touched or exposed to cold temperature they turn hard. Don't worry but you should talk to your mom so she can help you prepare when your period come. It is extremely unusual for someone as young as you to have breast cancer - it is beyond rare, although not completely unknown.
What you are describing sounds perfectly normal; you are still growing and developing. These are not breast cancer symptoms.
Talk to your mum if you feel you can; or to your school nurse for reassurance. Don't be embarrassed, she hears this all the time.
Somebody has said here that breast cancer only happens to 40 year old women; for the record this is not true. 80% of people diagnosed with breast cancer are over 50, but younger women can also get it. It is very rare in women in their 20s and, as I said, beyond rare in teenagers.
