My young son has this disorder. I tell him that it is a small part of who he is. He is so much more. He is a talented artist, plays chess, makes movies on his iMac, and is just an all around great kid. I would not trade him for the world.

It's like MLK said "people should be judged on the content of their character and not the color of their skin" Well the same respect is required for those with a difference or disability.

OH and BTW it is not a cussing disease. Only a VERY SMALL NUMBER of people with TS ever display Coprolalia and it is not a requirement for a diagnosis. A huge and hurtful misconception.

you cant judge people for their disease, you shouldnt judge people or look at them differently because of something they dont choose to have. Tourrettes is a real serious disease you should look it up, and see what their going through, and if you had this disease would you want people to judge because of it?

I used to know someone years ago. We went to school together. He was a real nice guy just had trouble understanding him sometimes when we were having a conversation.

No, i don't have it, I know what it is, condition of tics, and uncontrollable utterences made such as grunts, throat clearing, repetative curse words, eg- f**k, sh*t, and usually seen in teenagers, and sometimes fades with time. No, I do not judge on it.
