its always a possibility but very small! if you have a cut on your hand and some one needs first aid you should always wear gloves. but when someones bleeding we dont always think about that. i work with children and when they fall and cut themselves and are hysterical its hard to say to a three year old "i know it hurts and you are bleeding but hang on till i get my gloves!"
its unlikely that you would catch anything by getting a drop of blood on your nail adn then scratching yourself with that nail. if you are worried tho call your gp or a nurse they will help!

Doctors and nurses do it all the time. They tend to wash it off so they don't catch anything.
