Where can I take a TB skintest in Singapore ? Is there a vaccine for TB for adul!
Question: I recently attended a funeral of relative who passed away from TB. I wish to know where I could get a test done, and what prevention I could take in the future. (eg. vaccine).

You can go to tuberculosis Control Unit 144 Moulmein Road Singapore 308433, Tel: 00 63577860 to do a skin test.
Based on the results, futher test may be needed eg X-ray, sputum and culture test. If you have been exposed to TB germs, then you may be required to take a lengthy oral course to ensure it does not develop to full blown TB.
If confirmed TB, you will have to take medicine even longer as TB is very hard to treat. As you can see, people do die from TB.
Best is to strengthen your immune system. Eat wholesome food and lots of vitamins for example.
